Sales Engineer, Medium-Sized Enterprises

JOB DESCRIPTION

Working within a sales branch, you will be responsible for client relations with “Medium-Sized Enterprises and Key Accounts” – companies that lease between 10 and 700 vehicles each. This strategically important market segment is today a major development priority in terms of Arval’s sales activities, particularly with respect to new-client acquisition and management of the existing client base.

• You will be actively seeking new corporate clients within your market segment in order to develop your own client portfolio. Depending on the structure of the client organisation, you will typically be liaising with Heads of Purchasing, Financial Directors and Fleet Managers;
• You will reply to invitations to tender, proposing Arval’s broad range of services (insurance, fuel management, vehicle replacement, maintenance);
• As an expert in your field, you will carry out detailed reviews of the financial position of prospects and clients. You will advise on the management of their fleet of vehicles;
• You will be responsible for drawing up business proposals (sourcing suppliers, defining pricing structure etc.) and developing financial solutions that are adapted to the needs of your clients;
• You will monitor the implementation and appropriate execution of contracts in collaboration with your team, nurturing client relations on a daily basis;
• You will visit your clients to make contract improvements and to offer them new services, and subsequently ensuring they are properly implemented.

• Technical skills: sales-oriented, good business negotiation skills, basic knowledge of financial principles
• Personal qualities: drive, autonomy, service-orientation, good organisational skills, sense of responsibility

WORKING ENVIRONMENT

As part of the Sales Division, you will be working within a sales branch comprising of about 18 to 20 sales representatives, managed by a Branch Manager who, whilst maintaining fairly frequent contact with his/her teams, grants them the autonomy to put forward their own proposals and implement their own projects.
