Database Administrator

JOB DESCRIPTION

Information technology services lie at the heart of our company’s success. Constantly evolving, they shape and influence our networks, our research and development, and our information security.

Working within the production department of the Group’s Information Technology and Processes Division (ITP), your role will be to optimise the database in order to ensure data security and effective application performance through high-quality data reporting.

As such, your main responsibilities will be to:
• Optimise data processing on an on-going basis;
• Identify problems (following incidents) and offer solutions;
• Assist in resolving production incidents: offer troubleshooting assistance within tight deadlines;
• Provide user support;
• Manage technological auditing and monitoring.

PROFILE

• Technical skills: project management skills (assessment and scheduling of the activity) and incident management (legacy applications maintenance, technical testing management, technical configuration management); good knowledge of Oracle, PL/SQL, SQL, UNIX (AIX), Windows.
• Personal qualities: autonomy, careful observance of standards and commitments, willingness to work hard, responsiveness, good analytical and reasoning skills. Good interpersonal skills, teaching skills and team spirit.
